I got pulled over
I got pulled over for speeding last night. I was doing like 63-65 in a 50. The cop pulls me over. He asked me for my license. As I went for my license I showed him my PBA card. He took that and my license back to his cop car and was there for like 5 min. He then came back and told me to make sure I slow down. He then gave me my license back, but not my PBA card. I didn't ask the cop for the card because I was happy I didn't get the ticket. Why didn't he give me the PBA card back?
A PBA card is a card that police men give to their families and close friends. Usually if you have one, out of respect for the other officer, you won't give the person a ticket. I got one because one of my dads patients is a cop and my dad has been treating him and his family for awhile.

If you have the means, get the shield. Cops don't take those because sheilds are typically given to immediate family. The cards are more disposable...
Be thankful you didn't get the ticket. That little card saved you at least over $500 in fines and insurance prems.

I saw someone that had a gold star badge sticker on their driver's license before. It was a Sheriff's badge. He got it from his cousin who was a Sheriff and said that if he ever got pulled over, the cop would just let him go after seeing the sticker. Worked a couple of times for him so far. Wish I could get one of those!
I got nailed in Newport Beach a few years back. Had a "Newport Beach Police Officers Association" sticker in the back window. After he finishes with the ticket he says " oh, and by the way, thanks for supporting our organization." No help what so ever!
