When they figured out that the 2nd plane was going to do the same as the first, couldn't they have shot it out of the sky?

I think maybe it all happened too quickly for anyone to react though.?

Even if they had that option, I'm not sure anyone would have the balls to shoot a plane full of people to save more people.... that's a fvcking tough decision right there...

I don't think we realized this was a terrorist operation until the second plane crashed into the second tower -- on national TV. I didn't. I saw it live from the gym.

My prayers for the victims and their families. GOD BLESS AMERICA!

The sick part is that it looks like the delay between planes was intentional. There was (depending on the source) 11-16 minutes between planes, allowing emergency personnel to arrive at the scene and be killed in the 2nd attack. I am sure that the terrorists are also happy that camera crews showed up, allowing the 2nd attack to be filmed for posterity.

Also, notice that all 4 of the planes were flights from east to west coast = lots of fuel on board.

Yes, but if you can explode the fuel tanks, the plane would have broken into small bits. Small bits moving at 200mph are a lot better than a huge airplane moving at 200mph.

My question is didn't Air traffic control realize there was trouble? You would figure you would have heard about the hijacking before the crash.

Fox News is reporting that someone locked himself in the bathroom of the flight that crashed in PA and used his cellphone to report the hijacking. Maybe that is why the plane didn't make it to Camp David.
