I have 519,000 dollars
In my quest to keep my mind occupied and even distracted on occasion after all the crap going down last week, I have been playing a bit of GT3.
I have the following cars...
A [ltred]RED[/ltred] S2000 with a turbo kit, fully tuned suspension, brakes and everything else...handles beautifully, it's reasonably fast and I win tournaments pretty easily in the Beginners' League. This car isn't competitive in the Amateur League, in my opinion...it has just under 500 horsepower and as I said, it's fast because it's [ltred]RED[/ltred]
A Skyline R34 J spec with 921 horsepower. Handled like doodoo when I first built it out with the Stage 3 turbo, race compounds, lightened suspension and body parts...fast as balls, but damn that thing pushes like there's no tomorrow. I'm spending more time correcting than anything...it's not a fun car to drive.
Sucks after dropping a huge wad of cash on it, too. I have tweaked the suspension, slammed it, changed some alignment settings and that helped somewhat...but that car is a POS, IMO.
I have the Subaru Rally Car...pricey at 300k, but DAMN that thing is fun!! I haven't done anything to it, just having fun, winning a few races and really loving the driving...very cool!
I have won a number of Skylines and Miatas, which I just sell and now I have about half a million dollars. I want a car that handles well, doesn't push like a pig and is competetive with the race cars in the Amateur League and on into the Professional League.
I know I need more money, but what cars do you guys have that competes in the upper divisions? I have pretty much maxed out the S2000, I think, and now, as I said, I don't think it's competitive in the Amateur League.
What should be the car that I can wipe up the competition with in the higher leagues?!
Thanks!

I have been winning other cars

I had a little over 1,000,000 using a really tricked out RX-7 (which has more HP and quicker than my fully tricked out s2000).
I bought a Suzuki ..umm...racing thing-- dunno whats its called, but its red with a biiig ugly ass wing.
I added a Stage 3 kit (the only upgrade available) which brough its from 970hp to 1870hp!!!
It runs 0-400 is 9.3 and tops out around 207mph. (And boy-howdy does it get there quick).
Quite an amazing car... I tried several others in the 1mil range, and this was the best.

BTW-- easiest way to get cash: Goto the beginners league, goto the end of the track selections to the "GT Toursimo" one (the very end), and select the SuperSpeedway-- its only 4 laps and pays 10k... At 30sec a lap, thats 10k very 2minutes.

I would recommend the Gillet. It is fast and handles incredibly. Also, once you start the Amateur Dream Race... you'll win some pretty cool LM spec racing cars. I have the WRX LM, RX7 LM and the s2000 LM (which is my favorite).
Win the German races in Amateur mode and you may win the Gillet or CLK Race car...both of which are GREAT!

Cool....!
Is the Gillet Australian? I had never heard of this car before GT3.
Isn't there some crazy Ford, like the 090 or something like that, that kicks bootay as well?
And as for the cars that not purchasable, like the new Nissan 300Z, is that because I don't have the Super License yet? I noticed some other cars that I can't buy, too. What's the deal with that?

Max out an Alteza and go to the Alteza races in the Amateur level and win the LM Alteza.
I saved the series after race 4 and just restarted until I got the LM Alteza.
It starts with over 400 hp but can be moded to 800 hp I think??
Anyway, it's an easy car to drive. I liked it so much I went back and won a second one.
A car you can buy that is real easy to drive is the Evo VII. I won alot of stuff with that car.

start winning some endurance races and get some F1 cars!
I've got 3,000,000+ and nothing to buy!!! And no, no cheat codes or game shark here...
For the first endurance race, pick out the fastest car you can and win the 100 laps of the oval track...I think it's all the way to the right in the endurance races...

And I really liked the Vertigo, too. I used it a lot in the Amateur races. I think that it's made in Belgium.
