Default i have until tomorrow to decide

Okay here's the story... I have a 01 spa s2k with around 55,050 on it and this kid with a red g35 coupe with 45k on it wants to trade me. I know its a good deal but bottom line is i don't really want to sell my s. I love that thing and i built it from the ground up even though its only bolt on mods. I've put basically all new parts on in and it has probably around 4000 invested into the car from just parts(exhaust, wheels, tires, sound system, intake, headers, springs, etc.). His g35 has t1r exhaust and intake and that's about it. Halo projectors that are gay looking and all foggy

We met up today at King of Prussia mall and looked at each others cars and we both liked what we saw, the thing is it was suppose to be a straight trade in the beginning, but now he is saying that he want's money on top. So i said i could give a little bit like around 500, and it keeps going up from there. It went all the way up to 1000 bucks before i said i don't think im going to trade you anymore. The way i look at it is. In a year his car will be worth maybe 12000 while my S will still be worth around 13000. Face it our cars are getting to be a collectible now since they stopped production and that car is becoming cheaper and cheaper because it was replaced by the g37. In my opinion i shouldn't even have to give him the 500 bucks for the trade. I could keep my car and drive it like i've been doing and keep it under 75k til 2015 haha....

Your input is much appreciated.

No. Don't trade. G35's have the oil control problem. Google it.
The S2000 is a sports car.
The G35 is a sporty car.
You will be very, very sorry.

i wouldn't do it either, my s2000 is way more reliable than the M45 I have (oil consumption issues)

s2k will hold resale value for sure. G35 resale value will drop cuz of the G37.

The G35 is a good daily driver, but no replacement for the S.

When the guy said he wanted money as well as your car, you should have said "funny, I was about to say the same thing". Learn to deal, put him on the defensive.
Good decision, in the end.
