I just found the world's best beer...
So I was at Yard House tonight and decided to try something different. I enjoy many different beers, my two usuals being Rolling Rock or Kostriker Black Lager. I saw this beer called Delirium Tremens on a coaster and ordered a pint. As it turns out, they only serve it in smaller goblets because it's so strong (~9%).
I kid you not, it has less bitterness than any pale beer I've ever tasted, yet more flavor than many darks. Not only that, but you only need to drink half as much to get tipsy.
The sad part is that I went to BevMo afterward, and you can only buy it in 12oz bottles- for $4.25 a pop.

DTs is delicious! They serve at this funky little pizza place off of 7th ST in Gallery Place in DC. We used to head there for Pizza and a few Pints before heading out for the night sometimes!
How is it on the bitterness scale?
I've never really been one to truly appreciate beer unless it is hot, I am very thirsty and it is ice cold.
But recently in New Orleans I discovered Abita which is a wheat beer. Almost all of their beers are very smooth without that bitter aftertaste found in most beers.
They even sell a variety pack of all their beers so you can try them all. I'm not all that thrilled with their rasberry version.

I'll make sure to check those out.
Rogue Brown Ale is pretty good. Other than Kostriker and Newcastle, it's the only true "dark" beer I can drink in quantity.

Either that or the 95 degrees and 90% humidity would make me like anything.......
