open an e-trade account and play the volatile stocks

It's a shame when someone does this with their house payment or kids college savings but if you "found" this cash...you got nothin to lose.

I never thought I would get into it but if you start out small ($1000 !), build a separate portfolio (separate from your 401k/IRA etc...), and don't trade on margin the risk is quite minimal.

OK ok, I won't donate it. Yesterday I put it in my other bank account. I think it's just gonna sit there for some time.
Oh, man, you suck! I was gonna PM you with my address so you could donate it to me. You had my hopes up.

I'm with the other guys and would keep it for a rainy day. If you really feel the need to spend it though, I would do something like use it to travel and expand your horizons instead of drowning them with beer and greasy food (assuming that you're into that kind of thing that is).

Well, I traded in my '00 S2000 in for an '02 Acura TL-S, and I kind of regret it. You could fund me getting an S again.

Sorry guys, no boozing, no weed (don't do it anyways) just gonna save it for a rainy day. Save stocks and bonds after college.

Wow, looks like my drunken advice has proven useful (speaking of throwing money away). I'm still pushing for putting that money away for now (unless you have other, high-interest debt to pay off first). Good luck.

I rather wish that this is the sort of problem that I have to deal with.
