I don't think anyone's really addressed your video card issues. As far as I know the only video cards that seem to fit your needs for video editing and the like are from ATi. Their All-In-Wonder series most likely has everything you need. TV in, TV out TV tuner all included on the video card that has a pretty well proven Radeon graphics processor. I'm sure there are more powerful ones out there but I don't think these cards can be beat for an all in one package.

Just built a new computer 3 months ago.

Price break Point is right at a Intel4 2.8Ghz 800FSB (Price vs. performance) Intel hands Down!
Runs Cooler and faster!64-bit architecture is overrated to the point that Apps do not suppot it yet (ok X-windows) anyway!

128mb 9600pro Ati Video card
1 Gb HyperX Dual-Channel DDR 400Mhz
P4P800 Asus Mother Board
DVD
CD-RW

Blah Blah!

Spent about $1,050

Bought all parts from internet (newegg or zipzoomfly)
Put it together and NO PROBLEMS to date. It's up 24/7 Overclocked to 3.02Ghz
FUN!

Bottom Line Build your own..you get more for less!

Now I've built computer since '93 you should find someone in your area to build you one!

Sorry Last post here!

So what do you have now as a Dell?

LCD's are still not at a point where it matches the clarity of a CRT unless you shell out some Big $$$$. Samsung and NEC's are nice but for what you need it's the LaCie Blue Photon LCD............. Blingin'!

No, CRT are still the best. When I got my new computer I opted for a used Mitsubishi Diamondtron WOW that tube is good!

Wait till this time next year for new HD standards come out to buy LCDs.

"I see dead Pixels"

Seriously, Igloo housed for the new Worstation outside your office window - think about it!

I'm with ya there, I have a 10" JVC studio production monitor AND I can still use a dual LCD setup.

I use the 10" monitor with my current (single) CRT setup but I hope to use it like this on my new system: http://www.creativecow.net/articles/onnewe...elia/index.html

Cheers -

ps. I like the igloo overclock helper!
