First off, this is a very serious post.

Let me cut right to the chase, my dad is a huge wrestling nut, but he's not the wealthiest guy and has never been to a show. Well, Wrestlemania, which is the biggest show of the year for wrestling, is coming to Houston this april, it also happens his 50th birthday is in March. My plan was to buy him a ticket ($400 balcony, it's the most I can afford, ringside are going for over a grand) along with a hotel stay (we live like 3 hours away).

Unfortunately, as some of you know, the other day someone took a bat to my S2k and smashed my passenger mirror. I took it into Honda and not only is the mirror damaged but they broke off a chunk of the door where it attaches.... it's going to be about $800 which i was not expecting.

It's really degrading to do this, but I've had my heart set on doing this for my dad for an entire year..... my request is this, I know a lot of times you'll have a dollar or two left over on your paypal balance which isn't going to be of much use, if anyone has such leftovers would you mind passing them my way via paypal? Please, NO BIG DONATIONS, I don't want to inconvenience anyone but I figure if people here and there have 50 cents, or a dollar etc. left over that they won't use, it could really add up without putting anyone else in financial strain.

I already put the repairs on my credit card, I need about $175 more to afford my dads gift. I figure $10, $20 or whatever I can make here will help. I'm also going to pawn my Kicker Ipod stereo, my dvd player and we'll see what else I can find, all I know is one way or another I'm getting my dad this gift as he has sacrificed so much for me. Last resort is selling my class ring, but it was a gift from my mother and I really hope it doesn't come to that.

Nope, not kidding. I don't see the appeal to it either, but my dad is like the biggest fan and being his 50th birthday i thought it would be one hell of a gift he'd never forget..... this is basically like the super bowl to wrestling fans. AC/DC, Rev Theory, Motorhead etc. will be performing live, along with a lot of other celeb appearances.... apparently it's going to be a 90,000+ audience so should be pretty exciting for those into it.

I really don't want anyone donating over $3.00 tops, just if you have loose left over change in the account I figure little bits add up.

 

LOL I know it sounds silly but my dad is a die-hard fan, he's always been there to help me out without fail, I just wanted to do something nice for him. I'm not asking for the full amount of course, I'm going to pawn/craigslist quite a bit of things I find which should put me closer to the goal, but I look at it this way.... most people probably have a buck lying around that they won't even miss, if 50 people donated a dollar, that's 50 bucks right there without putting financial strain on a single person.

I'm pissed though, if it weren't for my car getting vandalized (THIRD time!), I could afford this no prob.
