I've never heard of an M8. Is it a 850 M Series? I'm wondering if someone just re-badged their 840/850...

They're one of the rarer recent BMW's, but there are a decent number here in Socal. The recent one I'd be interested in seeing, but never have, is the M1. I don't even know if those came to the US. Does anyone remember the Z1? Dig those doors...

Must be a 850Csi. Those are awesome cars. There was one here in the bodyshop. The owner rebadge the car to 840Ci. Upon inspection, it has 6 speed, 12 cylinder under the hood and 850Csi aero kit. Pretty slick.

I remember seeing a picture of a rumored M8 from BMW M. The pictures captions was rejected project by BMW. Although, the M8 in the photo has rear brake duct right next to the door, and a wide body kit.

sounds like a rebadge to me... 840/850s are fairly common in the SF area.

hmm it did not look like the one in the bottom pic, it was silver and the back was more "sporty", also see the back part of the windows? those were "down"/gone, so there were no side windows on the one i saw, but if the guy did put an M8 badge on it he may have done some custom work. btw what is with that red light on the black 850?

The black 850ci is a pace car for the local BMW vs Porsche challenge. the other car is a 840 (I think) with SMS aerokit, looked great in person.
