I am going on a roadtrip next summer (June '07) with my cousin for a wedding. It will be NYC to San Diego. The routes I am interested in are NYC to Chicago to Denver to San Francisco to Los Angeles to San Diego. This is so I can drive through the Rockies and see the California coast line.

Okay, now for the MTV part...a friend made a joke out of it "MTV True Life: desi roadtrip" or something along those lines. I thought it was funny but also it sounded interesting. Someone else mentioned plant trees in every state you visit to help bring out awareness about environmental issues. I personally like trees and the arbor day people will probably be interested if MTV bites on that idea. A shot in the dark but worth a try.

What other ideas are there?

 

I'm pretty sure the main prerequisite for MTV to air your reality show is ongoing drama. and a rollercoaster of emotion.

Anything promoting promiscuity or alcoholism.

 

How about visiting a strip club in every state? That should do the trick.

My daughter works at MTV and none of those things are required. I'll send this thread her way. Who knows, you might be onto something.

Maybe rent a schoolbus and travel with a group of over-dramatic skanks and obnoxious pretty-boys. Plant some trees along the way if you want. It would be exactly like every other MTV show, exept totally different.

I am pretty sure you have to have an IQ of less than 85 to be on MTV and even less to watch it any longer.

MTV might be the worst channel in the history of standard cable. They used to air music videos instead of pseudo-teenage reality shows that are terrible.
