so does the same method apply to cats as well? what i mean should i buy a breeder cat rather then a store cat?

also what types of cats shed the least? one thing i cant stand at all is the hair all over the place deal.

We just got a Pixie Bob kitten a couple of months ago. It's a relatively short-hair breed with a stumpy tail and a face that looks a lot like a bobcat; hence, the name. He has gray and black stripes on his face, head, back and legs, and spots on his tummy. We don't have cat hair anywhere, which is fortunate because we're already inundated with rabbit hair.

I've never cared much for cats, but this guy's a riot. We got him because we anticipate moving somewhere that we can keep our horses and figured we'd need a barn cat. We named him Orion because he's an enthusiastic hunter. He's the terror of the house: flying around corners, attacking anything in sight. He's absolutely fearless: he will attack our Jack Russell terrier if given the chance. He's also pretty affectionate, and will sometines come when you call him. Others have told us about Pixie Bobs that will fetch things, go jogging with their owners, and generally do "dog stuff".

My wife bought a "cat condo": a large cage with shelves and ramps and such. He stays in there when nobody's home so that we don't return to a shredded couch or whatever. But he roams pretty freely when we're home.
