I'm thinking about getting a Sony AIBO robot dog.
Just want to see if anyone here has any experience with owning one.
Still living in an apartment with alot of time away from home so I can't get a real dog - it wouldn't be fair to the dog.

It rates very well on the geek-gadget factor and makes for great conversation with guests. However, it loses its appeal after awhile because its still a toy robot dog. I had a roommate with one and in the end it just collected dust. Pet rocks are cheaper.

Have you considered fish?
