So here's a question then:

Global warming or global ice age? How are different groups claiming both sides of things, providing "proof" that it's happening one way or the other. I am not going to listen to either side anymore, it's all garbage as far as I'm concerned.

If it is an ice age coming, I'm glad I didn't sell my snowbobile.

Here's the original NASA report:
http://science.nasa.gov/headlines/y2..._longrange.htm

Pay particular attention to the chart.

Then do some searches on the correlation of sunspot cycles to climate change, and form your own conclusions on the BS level of the above "article."

I believe the ice age occurs due to global warming. The polar ice caps melt and we're all f'ed.

Hmmm that sounds like global wetting as opposed to an ice age...
You sure about that?

Wasn't the last ice age cause by a large dirt cloud after the earth was impacted severely, blocking out the sun's warmth?

hahaa. Global wetting...One major point of global warming is the heat will melt the polar ice caps, thus raising the water level. You can imagine how that affects everything as a whole. Ocean currents, wind, tides, ocean temperatures which affects the land, etc. It seems like what NASA is saying is that global warming is caused by the sun's cycle. I've read about this before too, that the sun is the real culprit, though we can't keep doing whatever we want either.

Yes, the last ice age was theorized to be caused by a giant asteroid a few kilometers in diameter. It's supposed to produce as much energy as a million nuclear bombs. This explosion is what brought about the dust cloud, which took a few years to settle. By then, most everything was dead. (no photosynthesis, no food for the animals higher up in the food chain). They also believe that 4 major ice ages has happened in earth's history though, so chill. This is routine~
