Off-topic Talk Where overpaid, underworked S2000 owners waste the worst part of their days before the drive home. This forum is for general chit chat and discussions not covered by the other off-topic forums.

I'd say this WAS a STRIKE.

Not harsh...reality. If the truth is harsh...then its just the PC police that got to you. Read on....its an epidemic.

I said it was "harsh", not a racist or a bigoted comment.

The truth is often harsh and it's nothing to do with being PC or not. There are plenty of groups that are often responsible for certain types of crime in different areas. White collar crimes = white males, violent gang crime = blacks in some cities and Hispanics in others and Asians in others, etc. It's the harsh reality.

Maybe the "epidemic" you refer to of Mexicans drinking and driving is akin to the party mentality of a kid who just moved out of his parents house off to college. Happy to be out in a place where authority rarely keeps a watchful eye unless you do something very wrong, you're happy to be starting a new phase of your life in a new place, you live a more carefree - until you screw up.

bikes on sidewalks = no-no.......most cities have laws against it

Bikers: Keep it on the streets but be respectful of the cars.

Cars: watch out for bikers and at least be aware of them and extend courtesy when applicable.
Yep! Bikes in cities always seem to want it both ways: the rules of the road only apply for them sometimes, unless an opportunity to cut between cars, around markers, etc etc exist.

If you're on the road, you obey the rules of the road just like a car. I was so impressed on the way to work this morning. I saw two bikes sitting in a lane at a red light with their left arms sticking out. They could've cut across easily because pedestrians were crossing anyway, but they waited it out like cars have to. Bravo to them.
