The two studies are not comparable.. People who live longer cost the health system more money. That has no bearing on the first study that takes into account eveyrthing imagineable from the cost of extra fabric to cover fatty's gut, to the increased fuel used by airplanes to carry around thousands of extra pounds of fat. When you pile that on top of the health costs for fatties, they cost more over all. That is the point.
