Default If someone calls the police on you

For something you didn't do, which leads to the police coming in and ransacking the house you live in, should you call the police on them for something they did do/do do?

Does it matter if they were misled by an emotionally unstable 20-year-old chick (a bit redundant, I realize) ? Keep in mind that the obligatory anonymous tough guy facebook status update is of his own accord.

I believe in karma, but it sucks to see your place trashed by the police and things missing.

Also, in addition to a writ of no trespass and a (mostly useless) restraining order, anything else you can get to keep a psycho ex away from you?

If they didnt have any kind of warrent they are screwed, but it sounds like it will be her that gets in the most trouble. Delete her and her close friends off facebook definitely. You may have to change your number as well... Sorry to hear about this

They entered the house, searched the house and then found some drugs and scales in one of the roommates rooms (the house owner, me and this other guy live in a house). They then got a search warrant. (This is all 2nd hand info, they havent told me anything). There is a warrant out for that roommate for the drugs and scales (obviously he is f'd).

Apparently the ex, while trying to break through my bedroom door, saw the roommate and some guy arrive, go upstairs, come back down and leave within 5 minutes.

I wouldve called the police but she stole my phone, then gave it back without the battery.

1. Call a lawyer yesterday- just for yourself; do not let him/her represent anybody else in the incident for the time being.
2. Because of the drugs, EVERYTHING in the house is subject to seizure. Discuss this with your lawyer up front.
3. Good luck.

If there is an imminent danger to anyone, there is enough standing precedent to let the police enter without warrant (as of this posting).

The psycho 20-year-old may have something to do with due process being vitiated.
