I remember "meeting" here after/during the events of 9/11. This thread was started by wickerbill and went on for 305 posts It's comforting in a way, relative strangers all over the world, sharing a common interest in a car, all gravitated here to share the shock and horror of that day.
In a way it was like when Ayrton Senna died, the race was on live at 2:00 AM in Hawaii, and I went to the computer and logged in to Racing Information Systems on the old Compuserve. Other online friends were there and our small community shared that loss as well.

I remember showing up at the first S2K Days in Asheville and being so nervous about being one of the few women drivers there. First event; just found the board shortly before that. I left feeling very welcome and had one of the best weekends ever.
At dinner, I remember Rick's S badges being referred to as making an "S car go".
First Zaino clinic and demo (What IS this stuff, anyway?)
Had 4 mods and considered myself "tricked out"
Ahhhhhhhhhhh, you're making me feel old, guys!
