What does that say on her right arm? "Pain is fun"?

Total, complete turn off. It would be too hard getting past that tatoo to see the real person.

Then again, maybe that's why it's there.

I don't understand all the folks who are completely turned off by a tattoo. It's your choice, but to say that a tattoo is "Total, complete turn off. It would be too hard getting past that tattoo to see the real person" is weird to me. Unless the tattoo is on her head, I doubt it would be the first thing you notice. Therefore the person's face, attitude, and overall appearance (sans tattoo) is what you would notice first. So if the girl has a tat on her back but you meet her and get to know her and like her, but never see the tattoo how would that affect you, once you see it? How many woman have tattoo's in a visible everyday place that can be seen in a normal day? Most that I have met are hidden and only shown when they want it to be shown. I think it's nice to have a woman who is uninhibited. If a tattoo is done tastefully, I find no harm in it. Just my opinion.

The Timelessness of a tatoo is what you need to think about. I have two!

The first is my Chinese name (3 Characters) Down my right shoulder blade about 5 in long in all
This would be timeless and good for I.D.ing my body if something happened to me!

Second, I have to admit it was a joke and still is but I can hide it.

it's a 1.5 inch "Intel Inside" Corp Logo... with the swirl
I didn't get the generation of the chip tatooed cuz I know better..At that time PII's just came out! I figured this tatoo would make a good story to whoever saw it!

Take some guesses as where the tatoo is?
Still Timeless and Funny!

I want a tattoo too!!! But the whole permanent thing scares me. It's something I created and it is about me so I don't know why this is keeping me back. Plus in 20 years when I think about having it removed there should be a better way to remove them right? Ok I am hoping. It's kinda a big one too.....and its going on the lower back. Maybe bong girl and I should just go get them done in Dallas one weekend.

To all you guys who think they are trashy, I see your point, but if you see it on a classy girl (well educated, great job) yadda yadda yadda is it still considered trashy at that point?

Please give me some insight!

Personally, I also think that tattoos lower my estimation of a person (male or female). I think it's rather silly to go to the point of painting your skin just to be cool, feel good about yourself, be trendy, look sexy, etc, etc - I seriously don't get it. Even the "it looks so cool" (or sexy) doesn't make sense to me - honestly, I don't get it.

That said, maybe I just need to get out more.

Seriously, though. I don't care if the person lives on the street or lives in a mansion and has a Ph. D - if they have a tattoo, I can't help but think they've got a problem somewhere (no offense to those with tattoos). It doesn't mean they're not a great person, it just means that I don't quite view them the same way. Just how I am... I truly can't see what would make a person want to ruin the natural beauty of the body by painting it (in essence).

I also don't think makeup does anything for a person (just to add fuel to the fire). Just makes you look all the worse when you don't have it on (and makes you look worse in the long run, anyways). In short, you're trying to be what you're not (subtle applications are somewhat more acceptable, though I prefer none at all on a woman). Call me old-fashioned....

P.S. Tattoos on a person are like stickers on an S2000 - they don't belong!

My 2 cents... I have tattoos, gotten when I was younger. Wish I could remove them. They fade, distort and blur with age. On a female (and, yes, I'm old school), I think they distract too much from the natural beauty of the female form (like grafitti on the statue of Venus) and broadcast an impression that you may not always find welcome. Pierce something instead. That can always close up and heal if you tire of it.
