I don't know too much about who is the best out there, but any recomendations?

Charles schwab has $10 online commision for stock. I don't know about etrade...

First first-time stock investors, use Sharebuilder - http://www.sharebuilder.com

But dont jump into stocks without doign research! The best way to do this is, research stocks (I use MSN Money - http://moneycentral.msn.com, pick a few but dont buy, see how they do over a few weeks, and see how much money you "earned" or "lost".
