The Insanity Continues
This morning my wife and I went to the barn to see our horses: a gray Arabian gelding and a bay Arabian mare.
At about 10:00 I left for a doctor's appointment.
At about noon I returned.

We now own three horses.
He's a nine-year-old Polish Arab - a second cousin to my wife's mare - whom we're hoping will make a good endurance horse once he gets over a leg injury. We had looked at him several months ago when the owner was asking $2,500.
This morning my wife paid $500 for him.
Now we own three horses.
Sigh.

Jeeze BC, I hope the consulting starts to pay off big soon, you're going to need it.
What's with you and Arab's with leg injuries? You seem to like them. The price was sure right on this one too.
Now all you need is a "Ride til you Puke" bumper sticker for your S2K.
Kah is going to be jealous.

We're going to Carmel in mid-December for our 25th wedding anniversary. We were supposed to spend one day looking at a three-year-old Arab (who's already 15 hands!), but - guess what? - he hurt his leg running in the pasture and won't be sound for six months or so.
The one we got will be great once his leg heals. The woman who sold him to us is terrified of him and he knows it, so he takes advantage of her in trumps. A few months ago we were with her when she rode him in an arena, and she was extremely nervous. When I got on him for a bit my wife later told me that this woman was convinced that he was going to kill me. I thought that he was fine - he simply needs someone to let him know that he's not in charge.
(By the way, the plural of "Arab" doesn't have an apostrophe.

Good luck with the new Arabian.
