Ah, they're gorgeous.

How's Boris doing with his injury and his new stablemates?

 

240 horses baby... you know the ones that go vroom vroom...

 

His leg's getting better, but it will still be another month or so till his hooves have grown out enough to be trimmed and shod correctly.

His immediate neighbor in the barn is Kelsey, a Thoroughbred mare. She glares at him and snarls at him and tries to bite him, and he screams his fool head off when she's out of her stall.

Our trainer said that she wanted to put him in a driving rig first thing when he's ready to work, because she's found that horses that are taught to drive are much more responsive when they're under saddle.

Last Monday we went to see his former owner to get her to sign some paperwork, and, unsolicited, she said that he's really impressive driving a cart! The more we find out about this guy, the more we learn that he's had a ton of training.
