Insomnia...
What do you do when two melotonin's dont work and Tylenol PM makes you nauseated? And don't think I'm immune or become accustomed to melotonin, I've only taken it a few times a month at most.
Try Ambien, but you will need to see a doctor first. Try to figure out what is the cause of your insomnia. Do you smoke or drink caffeine products near bed time? etc... Read a boring book before you go to sleep (something that won't intrigue your mind like a Helm's manual or something
).
).
I've often used Benedryl (antihistamine) as a sleep aid.
Then again, I've also used Lorazepam and a beer when I want to sleep through an International airplane flight to the Middle East (alright... all Americans against the wall
).

P.S.: Sex also works for me, but I can't control the dosage.

I feel for you. I go through bouts of insomnia as well. I have tried the melotonin, Tylenol PM, etc, but nothing seems to work. Then, it goes away for a while. One thing that I noticed is that when I eat dinner later, it takes me longer to fall asleep. I usually just start watching a boring movie or some mindless TV.
Good luck.
Good luck.
Melatonin actually has been proven to be a piss poor sleep aid and is actually good for getting over jetlag. Like someone said above if you have insomnia and it's chronic, before taking drugs try to figure out the cause and eliminate it. Do you need to get rid of energy, lessen caffeine, or other stimulants, is it too hot or cold in your sleeping room. Do you lie in bed before your sleeping time and watch TV? Have you tried drinking warm milk. Are you too stressed? Examine all of these things and then if you can not find a simple fix, consult a physician.
