Insurance/Loan woes.....

My younger brother went to lease his new car 3 years ago and was planning to put it on my parents insurance policy, not knowing otherwise.
He was informed he could not and if he wanted the car insured it had to go under his name since the lease or loan was in his name.
Had your mother been the primary and you the co-signer you could be on the insurace, but not in this case...at least not in NJ
