Interesting day leading to visiting opak racing
I live on the top of trousdale in burlingame, ca. Anyways, if you're anywhere around here, you'll know the places i'm talking about. I went down skyline and came back and then went really really fast down hillside. That led out to el camino and i went left past the hospital, longs drugs, lucky, safeway, mervyns, and came upon foreign auto tech. They had an aem ems and takata harnesses and koni adjustables. Anyway, i asked about spoon and t1r parts, and they said that opak racing was just down a littles. Of course i was on a bicycle so san bruno is still quite a far ways (I heard of opak racing before on this forum but didn't know it was so "close"). So I asked for some directions along the way and got to opak. Right outside was a completely stripped white fit with rollcage , spoon calipers and nice exhaust. There was a white civic hatch as well that was one of the mechanics' car. There was also the opak racing/spoon rsx in spoon livery(integra type r dc5). It still had worn slicks on. Inside were some really nice guys, they let me take a look around. Parts were everywhere, including perhaps the largest exhaust i have seen in my life (it was for a b18 civic), clutches, throttle bodies, motors, a replica mugen ht, a tsx race car with spoon livery, a civic hatch race car with fuel cell visible, an rsx 2006 model up on the jacks with just about everything being done to it while maintaining a street look, wheels everywhere, and pics and parts signed by spoon from japan. I loved the Super Taikyu posters all over the walls. One of the cars even had Best Motoring on the back window. All in all, it was great, although going back up trousdale was killer. I have pics of the cars outside, but not inside (too embarrassed to at the time). I will go back again, maybe i can take pics then. I'm not sure how to post pics
