Interesting information about the new Z car from Automobile Mag.
Just a summary of the interesting info in the article: Show car front end will be replaced with one of three options 1) flat circle of mesh 2) wide bass-mouth from Japanese studio or 3) trim three port treatment.
It uses the multi-link aluminum suspension form the Skyline and 18" wheels.
Brembo brakes as OEM. It has the wheel base and track of a Chevrolet Corvette.
The goal of the car dynamics is to "...combine the light, deft feel of the Honda S2000 with the reassuring dynamics of a Porsche Boxter."
Engine will likely be a variant of the VQ V-6 paired to a six-speed manual gearbox producing 300hp (specifically dismisses the 260hp report).
Car will weigh 3200 pounds w/a full tank
Most of the engine weight will be behind the front axle line due to compact, rigid, and lightweight nature of the engine.
Sounds like the Z-car is shaping up to be a real sports car

huyto, they indicated that it would still be below 30K, said it would be hands down the best bang for your buck car on the market today... we'll see.
