You sure you don't want to wait for the 06? There are lots of improvements being made for the 06.

Were are you guys getting the rice from? My carbon fiber pieces? I wouldn't call that rice? Last time I checked rice was cheap and not $2500. What else could be rice? My stereo? Nope, not for $7500. My wing? Nope, it isn't one of those "high flyers". So, what is rice about my car?

I am not trying to start any arguments...but I don't think you can classify any of my mods as rice.

I am getting an '05 for invoice. I wouldn't get the same deal on an '06. So an '05 it is.

The only part that looks ricey to me would be the front lip. Overall, I think it was very tastefully done, and I have virtually no mods.

Please don't do to the S2000 what you did to that Civic!

The civic can probably perform pretty damned well, but a bit too much rice. No ricey S2000's allowed.
I wont be spending any money on carbon fiber pieces or stereo items. I am going to solely concentrate on performance, with a few comestic upgrades (i.e., CF hood, CF trunk lid, Volk wheels, etc.). My goal will be to get the weight down to around 2500. Not too sure at this moment how that can be achieved without removing heavy interior pieces. I am really surprised about the cars weight--about 2850--I would have figured it to be around 2500. Where is all the weight coming from?

I will agree with you there. I am not happy about my front bumper. When my wife gets the car we will probably return the bumper to stock.

There is no price limit on rice.

If you want to save weight, don't change the hood. The stock aluminum hood weighs less than most carbon fiber replacements.
