Were are you guys getting the rice from?
I think most people are just surprised that someone would spend more on mods than the car is worth. I mean, the K20A2 + LSD + New Wheels/suspension must have been over $10K alone with labor.

If you want to save weight, don't change the hood. The stock aluminum hood weighs less than most carbon fiber replacements.
I figured as much. Not sure what I'll end up doing, but before I concern myself with things like that I need to get the car first.

I spent $15,000 on the car itself, which I bought in March of 2004 and just paid off last month. I have spent another $45,000 on mods. I am sure that number will raise the BS flag for some of you, but rest assured I have receipts for everything. I originally bought the car for commuting. I had NO intention of doing anything to it other than upgrading the wheels. Things just started evolving. Up until about a month ago, my plan was to enter my car in car shows and stereo competitions, as well as autocross and drag it. My plans abruptly changed when a local dealership told me they would sell me a new S2K for such a good price. An S2K has much more potential, in pretty much every aspect, then my Civic and looks a heck of a lot better.

Sure...that is a possibility...but I can get much better financing options on a new car vice a used one.

Nope...just make decent money and try to pay cash for everything.
