sorry for the multiple posts, but I am reading as I go in hopes to save you from making a costly mistake.
These people are trying to get money into their pockets ASAP by telling you they will minimize the risk. No one in the industry says they will do a prior art search if you pay them the cost for the entire patent up front, and will refund the cost if prior art is found.
A prior art search costs $5000 itself. NON REFUNDABLE! You lose that money either way.
I recommend you seriously start recording your ideas and the dates of each conversation with this company.
thank you for the input. my issue now is that all the steps that have been mentioned still will cost a grip of money. so either way, i need to take a risk and at least ill have someone holding my hand if i go with the company. if im wrong about this, please tell me what you think.
