Smooth as butter through AT&T premier this morning.

 

Did my pre-order at 5:30 am. Later today I found out that AT&T was having server problems and pre-orders couldn't be completed. I'm glad mine went through, now I just have to pray to the UPS God that they deliver that heat on the 24th down here to PR.

 

Well, I was going to pre-order today. But in true AT&T form, they've proven yet again they value "new" customers more than existing customers. Last time, my g/f walked away to another provider. I think I will be doing so too.

i wonder if they are going to send out a few white ones... and are avail upon request? hmmmm

 

I'm an existing customer and I got the same deal as a new customer.... not sure what you could be complaining about unless you aren't eligible for upgrade yet.

 

Available in July from rogers, telus, bell and virgin. You can order a (fully) unlocked one from apple.ca when they are available for pre-order or a subsidized phone with contract from your carrier again, when available for pre order.

 

i wanted the white one..but supposedly best buy was the only place taking orders on white phones.

 

Slipped into the June 24th delivery time last night (it was close to the changeover, so it may still not ship by then, but at least that's what was indicated):



Since we're going to use this quite a bit for video, I went ahead and upped it from a 16 to a 32GB


re: white models

I read a post about some potential fabrication issues with the white models and that BB was told to stop pre-orders for white. Not sure if that's confirmed or just NETFUD.

Much as I want one, I'll just wait for a subsidized one from Rogers. I got a call from them a couple months back offering me a real discount on a 3G($99) or a 3GS(16 or 32GB, $199 and $299) with a 3 year contract. Ummmmmwhat?

I told them no thanks, maybe they could call me sometime when they weren't trying to get extra money out of me, since I'll be waiting for the new iPhone.

Didn't really appreciate the sneaky nature of that call since they didn't say something like "with the new iPhone around the corner we're able to offer you a discount on the current model. I would've respected that a lot more. Guess it's not enough that I spend thousands of dollars with them every year.

 

I would have thought Telus would be a better carrier in AB. They all suck IMO. The phone company is still the phone company regardless of what name they call themselves.
