Smile iPod problems

How come my iPod plays movies, but I cannot hear them when I put on my headphones? Also, I just purchased a movie from iTunes, and I dont know how to convert it and transfer it to my iPod. How come my iPod doesnt automatically update new songs that I loaded in my library like it used to do when I first got it? It used to update itself when I plug it in to my computer, but doesnt anymore. I hate how these damn things aren't user friendly!!!

u need to post these questions on the apple forums
http://www.apple.com/au/support/ipod101/

this should point u in the right direction. a lot of ipod geeks there that can help u.
i can help u with the update. u need to go to the ipod settings and go to advanced and there should be a tick box to update automatically. i wouldnt select this as ur better off updating stuff urself, plus people have been known to borrow stuff off other peoples itunes, so if u want to "share" u wont risk wiping all ur friends songs off.

dont worry about the ipod being user unfriendly, a lot of people cant work them out. i couldnt get the video to work, but i managed to get a good program called "pq ipod to dvd" its really good, but i never watch video anyway.
