I love giving gifts to friends/family. I think it's so fun. I don't like getting gifts though. I like earning money to buy the stuff I want, but I don't like being given things.

its only better to give gifts if you actually want to.

example, i give my wife a gift because i love her = good
i give my boss a gift on bosses day to suck up = bad

i would rather my boss give me the gift of a raise.
