I think Seadoo is more reliable( biased, I have one) but I just saw the new Honda 1,200 cc and it's a sweet looking machine.

I have had 2(1200cc) & 3(760cc) seater Yamaha's for over 3 years now(150+ hours on both)....they're a lot of fun. What you really need to do is go somewhere that you can take them for a spin(SeeDoo, Yamaha, Honda) & see what feels best to you. I personally like how the Yamaha's ride.....SeeDoo's are to bouncy for me(the hull makes a big difference). Get a 2 seater if your just going to horse around, or a 3 seater if you plan on pulling skiers(or want a cruiser type ride).

I have a Yamaha. They are reputed to be more reliable than other makes. Friends with Seadoos claim they need engine rebuilds sooner and more frequently than the Yamahas. The Yamaha also has a deep V hull that lends more stability to the craft.

I have had two sea-doos (1997 gti and a 1999 xp limited) They were both excellent and never gave me any trouble. I am a pretty aggresive driver and I never had a single problem. I would probably go with another 3 seater if I were to get another one. They are just about as fast as a two seater and you can carry that extra person if you have to. Plus you have more storage area.
