Job Hunting is Killing me
Ok so I graduate in about 2 months and have been looking for jobs everywhere. The problem is that I seem to catch a lot of spam or fraudulent jobs. I want something stable at around 40-45k starting out. Anyone have any ideas? My degree will be in Marketing with a concentration on Professional Sales. I have a resume that I could provide upon request. thanks,
Jason

The only thing that I can recommend is to search job sites on a daily basis. It is a numbers game, submit your resume to all of the jobs you have some interest in at the moment. You can rule out the ones that won't work for you after speaking with company representatives in an interview setting. The hardest part is actually getting the interviews.
Where are you graduating from? Does your school have a career center?

Yeah I'm graduating from Kennesaw State University we are rated very well for our business programs and I have a career services center, but they have not been as helpful as I had hoped. I guess I should probably just go in and spend a little more time there.
I would say look at the companies in your industry that YOU want to work for. Money isn't everything.
I feel your pain (sorta)...my last day for my job is September 1st and I don't know where I want to work.
Best of luck!

the more resumes you send out the more (potentialy) offers you get.
Just tell the crap companies that you are not interested and hang up. Only apply for the jobs that you are interested in so you don't waste your time or the hiring manager's time.
Job hunting can take a long time. When you find the right job you will know. Taking a full time position should be a long term commitment.

In the technology field, try Cisco, they have an Associate Sales Program that is pretty amazing. If you can get in with them, you are golden. You can also try some smaller startups and see if you can get on the buyout train. some people make some good money doing that.

I think it's going to be tough to START at $45k in marketing.
I would say 35-40k is market value with high GPA and some intern experience.
