What kind of consulting? Management, IT, compliance, health care, engineering? The more info you can give, the better (when asking a broad cross section of people for job info).

PM me if she's interested in selling her soul... er, I mean, interested in working for a big 5 (or 4... whatever we are nowadays).

My job sucks- she can have it, although I don't know if it is a consulting position. I'm not too sure what my job is. Did you ever see Office Space, where the guy talked about how he comes into work, zones out for about an hour, blah blah blah, and never does anything? Well that is me.

Every day I just want to jump out the window... but then I realize that I don't have one... stupid cubicles

Best wishes!

Thanks for the posts guys. Her background is IT and she is looking for a consulting position within the IT or technology related field. She is looking for a position which is business/technical analysis related. She is looking for a job preferably in a financial firm or the Big five firms. You can PM me and I will give you her email address if you want more information.

Thanks,

Sri

I had one of those jobs for years, and it was so mind-numbingly boring. I just couldn't believe they paid me so much money to do nothing. I'd ask for work three times a day for weeks on end, but the control freak who ran the department didn't like to delegate, preferring to work 14 hours a day, 6 or 7 days a week. Every now and again, he'd realise how swamped he was, and the rest of us would have something to do for a few weeks.
It was also one of those places where the bureaucratic crap was more important than the actual work, and 75% of projects were canceled before completion.
The only reason I stayed was the money.
The poor sad f**kers who are still there are just as unhappy as they were when I left over 3 years ago. But the money's still good, so they stay.
