Default Just got back from Seattle

Hey west coasters......I just spent the weekend in Seattle watching the Irish stomp the Huskies. Great game. That Wash QB can really throw. Anywho.....

How do you guys put up with all the freaking bums? Seriously, I have not seen that many bums, hobos, homeless, panhandlers, junkies, etc in all my life. Went past a little square in what I think was called "old town" or something like that and there was about 60 of them in one block. Broken glass, needles, turds. I might not see that many in bums Mpls in three years.

Every block of the city had at least one, some as many as five asking for $. Don't you have any vagrancy laws? Can't the city do SOMETHING?????

They were all very nice hobos, as hobos go, very polite. Many looked like serious heroin addicts, if what they say about Seattle and teen runaways is correct. So many as to be a really annoying thing.

I loved the town. Top notch. Lots of fun stuff to do, scenery, commerce, restaurants. Great place, hope to come a spend some more dough sometime. Just what gives with the homeless???

Hey, you passed through Seattle without hooking up with some of the NW peeps??!!

Glad you had a good stay in Seattle, you certianly lucked out with the fall weather. Sounds like you were in Pioneer Square, which is a kind of dual personality place. Yes, there are tons of bums there and yet it is an art house/beer drinkers paradise.

I don't know why the bums seem to be getting more common. I live on the Eastside and have been seeing more and more out there the last 3 years. It's kind of weird living in a place were there is a German car on every block and seeing a bum off of every freeway ramp.

Next time you have to contact the NW club so we can show how it is done in Seatown!

hey vader1, care to guess where the homeless in Minneapolis go when they retire? Seriously, anyone who comes to a place like Minnesota to panhandle is going to get out anyway they can come winter. Most won't be back.

My experience with Seattle was AWESOME seafood, esp. the kumo oysters and grouper sandwiches. I like that place IVARs pretty good. Weather was decent, beautiful scenery.

One thing struck me though, Seattle must be the used car capital of the U.S. I have never seen so many Pinto's, Gremlins and Eagles before in my life!

Wait 'til the rainy season comes. No wonder the city has the most suicide rate in the country.

There are so many bums because Seattle has gotten so expensive. Forbes rate it the most overpriced city in America every year.

Rain/clouds from Oct 1st to July 1st, don't kill yourself
