As far as overpriced, it was expensive. The Sheraton was pricey but that was were the ND group was staying. Meals were not too bad though. I thought it would be a great place to live, especially since we had three nice days of weather I got a little slanted impression.

I read something about Seattle has 250+ days a year of rain or overcast sky. It is totally gray here through the entire month of November and to paraphrase Lewis Black, after a month of gray I am ready to slit my wrists just to see some color.

I have been to most major US cities, although this was my first time to Seattle, and it ranks right up there as far as fun place to go for a few day jaunt. Just high on the bum scale. Oh yeah, my other complaint, there were lots of attracive women there but it could have been much higher due to the hippie factor. Too many with face piercing, green hair and general hippie appearance. If I think of anymore things to gripe about I will let you know. But gray skys, hippie chicks and bums can sure beat 30 below zero.

[QUOTE=kadeshpa,Sep 29 2005, 06:38 PM] One thing struck me though, Seattle must be the used car capital of the U.S.

Hey, LA is not California

We do not have problems with homeless in Irvine at all. Police here took care of them the first hour they set foot in Irvine.

I dunno, I lived in Seattle for a few years (had a place down by the fish market back when it was even shadier than it is today).

Lots of bums and lots of illegals looking for work right at the 99 tunnel and western too.

Then again, I was in (actually still am in at the airport) your fair city of Minneapolis today -- no real shortage of bums downtown. I guess you just have to look or perhaps look in the right places?

seattle is just stupid gay ass city. it's the most over priced city. and over freaking populated. i don't even consider driving on traffic hours on rainy day. specially it just started raining so people are being stupid as hell and get into an accident. just two days ago (it was sunny i put my top down) at around noon when there was no traffic on highway this stupid ass lady almost ran me over with ford on highway. she obviously wasn't pay attention and was doign something else. crossed over into my lane and pushed me into shoulder. hell yea i honked at her for making me drive on the rocks.

as the rain goes i think i can handle most of it. since it's not raining crazy. it just rain constantly but lightly. but yea it does get hella annoying. and not sure if 250 days of rain is true. i can say good half a year to 7 months of rain. and this year has been really cold. last year during summer it reached up to 100 few times. but this year it hardly hit 90s. and during september i had to wear a jacket at night.

seattle is kewl place to visit ONCE and ONLY ONCE. haahah other than that i think this city is boring. not much to do. it's cold, rain, overpriced, 2am alcohol curfew, just stupid.
