The F14 Tomcat is no longer in the Navy's arsenal. What a shame. I love the variable geometry (swing wing).

^ That guy watched too much Top Gun.

It would be a waste to send F22s after Migs. A couple of them with good pilots could take out a whole squadron of Chinese Migs. Stealth ftw.
Chinese made Migs??!! Do they use lead paints on them too??

I'm sure they'll end up reverse engineering an F-22 sooner or later too.

That's what $140 million a copy buys: next generation stealth, over-the-horizon air superiority, thrust vectoring (variable pitch turbine exhaust nozzles). In war games, two F22 Raptors took out seven F15E Strike Eagles. They never knew what hit them.

As an old AF F4C Phantom pilot, I really get my rocks off on that. We saw the west coast public flying debut of the Raptor at Edwards AFB. Thrust vectoring is truly remarkable. I always thought of the FA18 Hornet as a highly manueverable aircraft. The F22 made its FA18 chase plane look like a beer truck!
