its amazing that as soon as you stop spitting about bitches, bling and whatever else.....how rich you are, how great you are, how big of willie you have or anything else and actually make some music, it actually comes out interesting and something people can actually digest and decide if they like it or not.

I find this song interesting. I am an electronic music fanboi so the heavy modulation and filtering of his voice does not bother me. The video even hails from the videos of old where a director would put abstract ideas and forms to music. I am so tired of a collection of thugs whooping it up around a Bently showing the camera their dog chains.

An actual music video showcasing a close facsimile of music, how novel.

I cant stand this bastard personally, but I appreciate him putting down the top hat for a second and coming across as at least halfway genuine.

discuss....

I would imagine the death of his mother is going to inspire some music that previously would have never been on a Kanye album

I heard this song a while back and I thought it sounded really good.

Kanye has been workin with A-Trak for quite a while now and I think it's rubbin' off on him and been making much better music.

The thing that got me more than anything, with Kanye getting into the Electro scene (I guess more of an Electro-Rap scene) is that Kanye was HEADLINING at Global Gathering. Over Tiesto, over PVD, over everyone. AND He would be the only performer on the main stage that day "Due to the sheer size of Mr. West's performance".

I'm not a huge fan of his "Stronger" with Daft Punk, because I thought it ruined a classic, but all-in-all I'm really glad to see Kanye working with such great artists in the electronic genre (DP, A-trak, and So-Me did his "Good Life" video. So-Me is from Ed Banger).

Edit: Btw, So-Me was the guy that Kanye interrupted at the European MTV Music Awards when So-Me was awarded Best Video for his direction in "We are Your friends" by Justice vs. Simian. So, it was pretty cool to see Kanye take on So-Me as a director after that.

I agree, Kayne and Daft Punk did ruin Edwin Bridsong's Cola Bottle baby

I'm sure a lot of things rub off on Kanye West. I'm sure you'd like to rub one off on him, too.

Anyway, Kanye seems to be doing this acoustic styled voice a lot now. He did it on that song with Young Jeezy, too. I heard this song a few days ago and I'll admit that I actually do like it.

The trend of acoustic styled voice is giving people who can't sing an excuse to be able to sing.

Maybe I should give it a shot.
