Yes, sucks big time for us. I personally live about 12 miles north of lake Ponchatrain. Moved there only last november and just finally finished furnishing the place. Wife and I left at midnight on Sat. and are now at my wife's aunt's house in houston. Had to grab the pictures and important papers and load my 2 dogs up. With all that to pack, we took the 4door Accord. My dream car (the S) is in the garage of my brand new house awaiting its fate. I'm just hope its not a total loss.

I feel bad for all the people down there. It is times like this that remind me the snow and minus 20 degree winter weather here ain't so bad.

Riz2k, I think living in Covington you'll be ok. There's no doubt you'll have damage but it looks like you'll be on the east side of th eye so I would think you'll still have a home and car to go back to. I can't promise the garage door won't be wrapped around the car but... If Covington was on the west side all bets would be off.

Please keep us updated on what you hear about your home and car and I wish you the best of luck.
