Thumbs up Kernal32.exe Error!

The "kernel32.exe" error message came up on the computer. I've done some searching & it appears to be a virus.

Anybody know the quickest, most reliable way of getting rid of this?

Thanks in advance!

mcafee virus scan should remove it, you also need the latest dat file, (4379). Also try running spybot (free to download @ www.download.com) to clean any spyware.

the kernel is the engine of your pooter. it's basically a simple set of instructions that programs call that help it to interact with your system. if it's unstable, your computer will be as well.

if antivirus software can't repair it, your options are to either try a repair using your windows cd (assuming you're using windows) or slick the hard drive and reinstall the whole OS.

Kernel32.exe is not the engine to your pooter, I think you're talking about kernel32.dll.

Here're manual removal instructions (scroll down to Removal Instructions)
