From the book Freakonomics:

Roland G Fryer Jr, while discussing his names research on a radio show, took a call from a black woman who was upset with the name just given to her baby niece. It was pronounced shuh-TEED but was in fact spelled "Shithead"...

- As a medical professional I see ALL kinds. Lets see - just yesterday - Naekendra, Brucetta, etc etc. I could go on.

WTH would you do that to your kid. You are already putting him/her at a disadvantage in life.

The worst I've heard about was "Abcde" - I don't even know how you pronounce that. I used to think names like Cody and Sloan were goofy, but Shaquita kind of puts them in perspective...

Living in Miami you get some very creative people and their names. A lot of cubans give their kids weird names.. examples of some i know FOR A FACT..

Usmail = U.S. Mail

Usnavy = U.S. Navy

Acirema = (pronounced: Ah-See-Rem-Ah) America (backwords) a girl i went to Elementary/Middle school with.

There are more... but i'm havin a brain fart.
