I'm sure that you must be right, or the Navy would not have mothballed them. However, I remember w/ lots of amusement the Iraqi soldiers surrendering to video-equipped drones that were being used to aim the 16 inch guns during Desert Storm.

Apparently, those HUGE projectiles were getting somebody's attention. hehehehehe

When the plane flies faster than sound all the sound waves that spread ahead of the plane combine together and produce the sonic boom.

I think I saw a documentary once about the construction of the USS Ronald Reagan. Its crazy, don't those things take like 10 year to build or some really long time like that?

And just two more questions:

1. And just how does a president get an aircraft carrier named after them?

2. You think Bill Clinton will get an aircraft carrier named after him?
