Default Killer Spam... Need Help...

I'm currently using Netscape Messenger to send and reply e-mails. Then this morning, I get this Spam called 'Finanical Planner blah blah blah' When I click on it to delete it, you have to if you're using Netscape, my whole screen freezes. Then a window message reads "Increase the size of your Virtual Memory Paging File" appears. I go to Control Panel, increase memory size and when going back to Netscape Messenger, the same thing happens again. I restart my laptop and can open and send other e-mails in Net. Msr around this Spam. But when I click on this Spam, it freezes again! Has this happened to anybody before? Can someone advise me as to how to remove this Spam safely and also educate me on why this happens?

Thanks...

Who is your provider? Hotmail, yahoo, AOL, netscape.net? Is there a web interface or webmail site that you can also check your mail thru? If so access the webmail to delete this message. It seems that when the spam is 'previewed' it is causing some weird behavior with Netscape Messenger.

Yeah, sorry but Netscape Messenger really sucks. I gave up on it a long time ago. I'm not saying that Outlook express is better, it has it's own drawbacks as well, but it is more stable. Full-blown Outlook is the best, but it's overkill for single-user personal email.

Maybe something else like Eudora would be more appropriate.

If it's an HTML email it sounds like it could have some dodgy scripting attached.

and if you can't get to it through webmail link provided, the only other way to delete it is the manual way... telnet!
