I don't know, it's not that easy to hit a ball low enough that it would hit someone at that close a range. You'd have to be a really bad golfer to do that.

Actually, on the back of the tickets there is a waiver which does not allow you to sue anyone if you get injured by a ball. Now if it was intentional that's different, but accidental injuries are not liable.

that has to be phil mickelson. He finally won his first majore huh.

Out of a 1,000 drives, these pros would not hit one bad enough to hit a person lining the tee box. Those guys hit frozen ropes all day long. Even the shittier tour players are amazingly skilled.

Do we actually know the details of the settlement? It was never disclosed. I believe most state laws prevent unintentional injuries from being a case for settlement unless they could have been prevented. Which is the reason for the settlement, since safety netting wasn't in place. I believe the NHL has since instituted the policy with the netting which covers them in future incidents.
