near Pittsburgh?
I could recommend a couple GOOD places to go.
Back in 1970 I was in Korea for over a year (US Army) and Korean girls were brought on base to cut GIs hair. Over there Kimchee was made from fish, cabbage and I don't know what else, then put in pots and buried in the ground to ferment (?), then warmed up to be eaten. These ladies would eat that stuff, then cut your hair and breathe all over you. It was the worst smelling stuff you could ever imagine. Maybe they did it on purpose so they wouldn't get hit on. God it was awful. The korean BBQ was pretty good, but that's about all the Korean food I will eat.
Never cared for Japanese food either (won't eat sushi to this day) but I enjoy Chinese, Indian, Thai, French, Italian...... almost anything.

it's ok not to like korean food. everyone has their preferences. I don't like real mexican food, I went to mexico and found the food to be tasteless and the portions are very small. I thought American food was tasteless, but after going to mexico I have more respect for the good old hamburger.
But, another thing to consider is how "authentic" you want the food to be. Sometimes americanized versions are much more agreeable to our tastes. Like Chinese food, all the stuff we eat here is not real chinese food. I went to Toronto and ate at some real chinese restaurants and the dishes are completely different depending on geography and which kind of course you select. (yes, i am oversimplifying chinese cuisine, i apologize in advance). you get the idea....
just eat what you like.
