i dont really get larry the cable guy and blue collar tour. they are not funny to me at lest.

Larry the Cable Guy is a "character". No different than Paul Reubens playing Pee Wee Herman.

 

Exactly. He is not a fraud. He is just a great actor.

 

He is actually from Pawnee City, Nebraska. My kids rented "Larry the Cable Guy - Health Inspector" last weekend, and the bonus features included interviews where he spoke with a midwestern "non-accent." He also wore a variety of Nebraska/Cornhusker hats throughout the movie.

By the way, I am a big Larry fan, but the movie sucked.

 

another clear indication that a lot of things we see in the entertainment industry is so put together (not saying that it's a bad thing) by execs, fianancial backers, etc..... but then again to get a real red neck to be that funny and so well rehearsed, next to impossible

 

Yes i actually read in an interview that his whole "Larry the Cable Guy" is just a persona he puts up on stage. He i *beleive* lived in Palm Beach Florida (one of the LEAST Hick/redneck towns).

Said that he would do this character as part of his act and everyone just loved it... so he went with it.

 

I think jeff foxworthy is funnier than larry
