Hay guys and gals. Im a UK owner but over to Las Vagas in October, any suggestions o where to visit?.... thinking may be able to get to Disney land california.... is this to far or is it possible?

We are often over the water as we have friends in Tampa and also Vancouver... hay! :-) off to Whistler for easter break, cant wait to get on Black combe! We will see a ball game and a hockey game too... a fan of Kanooks and Mariners.

So if anyone has any suggestions regarding Las Vagas let me know.

We got people on the ground there. . .
. . . who are lookin' for the hottest clubs. . .
. . . and the best places to buy fish and shoes. . .

S2ki.com: we global, we gone international, we real.

Seriously though, my single off-the-strip recommendation is probably for Frankie's Tiki Room.*

*. . . but for those who know me, you'll find me making at least one trip to The Double Down Saloon.

Speedway.... what track?? I had to miss out on Daytona as we drove from Tampa to go over to Bahamas and Daytona was to much of a squeeze on our shedule a year or so ago.... real shame as we had a tour booked.

The drive from LV, NV to Cali across the Mojave is a cool drive. The Hoover Dam is mind boggling.

Vegas is nice but don't spend to much time there IMHO, lots of better stuff to see.

Visit some of the beaches in SoCal. Rent a bicycle for 2 in Venice. Visit and grungy beach town like Ocean Beach. San Diego is cool as well. Maybe even visit Mexico while down that way.

Love SoCal.

Looks like your interests vary a little.

You can get to Bryce Canyon or Zion National Parks or the Grand Canyon from LV. Zion is about 2.5 hours, Bryce about 4, Grand Canyon is also about 4. I was there 4 years ago, same timeframe. Mornings in the desert can be unexpectedly chilly (I took sunrise shots at Bryce, it was 16 degrees!)

I've done Hoover Dam on ground and with a helicopter. If you're into the engineering of things, it's interesting. The helicopter ride over the area was great. Enjoy the journey.

Edit- got cut off before I finished. Here's pics from my trip to give you an idea of what's out there. https://picasaweb.google.com/1126411...ahVacation2009
