i was struggling to come up with a good idea... he was the only one that came to mind.

still. i maintain there are far better people out there for the job. even though i can't think of any.

I would like to see what kind of a goofy mess Norm McDonald could make of a late night show, and I mean that in the best possible sense. That guy makes me laugh and likes to show up for his stand up gigs totally drunk and then argue with the crowd. Give him Gilbert Godfrey as a sidekick and I bet half the guests would walk off the set during interviews after being driven crazy. Thats a show I would tune in for.

Fallon was OK on SNL, but like many of the SNL people, they think they have more talent than they really do when SNL is the best thing for them.
