I believe there is a law in some states that actually allow you to break the window to save a child and/or pet in this scenario. I could have swore I read something on this a few years back.

Some woman in Scottsdale last summer locked her kid in the car while she went in to Neiman Marcus. I don't remember the outcome but I believe the kid was ok.

Is this the story where the lady left her kid in the car at the valet but took her dog into the mall with her? Knowing Scottsdale its probably 2 unrelated incidents

I've actually been stuck in a car in the heat for close to 45 minutes. Almost passed out. Excessive heat can cause brain damage. No excuse could warrant leaving a pet locked up in the heat.
did you accidently lock the keys out of the car?

we were in carlsbad a few weeks ago waiting for the bats to come out of the cave. the park ranger came out to talk about bats or something but told everyone that someone left their dog in the car! everyone was just like asshole! how dare you...then after 3 minutes some douche bag couple got up and left trying to be inconspicuous.
