Sorry, just had to toss it right back at you. That's such a blanket statement (and completely biased) - I'm surprised you'd say it since I see you jump on people all the time for similar things.

How about this line - "Buying high powered Porsches makes people do some dumb things"? Perhaps I could say something like "People with Porsches are typically anal idiots bound to a brand instead of performance"? Those are rough equivalents to what you've said.
